What is the Kimberly Process?

The Kimberley Process (KP) is a global certification system launched in 2003 to eliminate the trade of conflict diamonds, also known as blood diamonds. Participating countries must meet strict requirements for verifying the origin of rough diamonds and preventing illicit stones from entering the global supply chain.

Today, over 99% of diamonds sold globally are Kimberley Process compliant. Benalor works exclusively with trusted suppliers who participate in this process and provide documentation to support the ethical origins of each stone.
